National Heat Association
of America

United against the crisis of extreme heat.

A non-governmental network uniting the people and organizations confronting extreme heat — into one coordinated national movement.

Our full website is coming soon. We are standing up the network now.

Our role

Extreme heat is the deadliest weather hazard in the United States, yet the national response is spread across dozens of fields and institutions — healthcare, public health, labor, planning, data, and more — working in parallel but rarely in concert.

The National Heat Association of America exists to bring that work together. As a non-governmental convener, we align effort across the field, surface and spread what works, help resources reach where they matter most, and publish national, evidence-based reports and recommendations under one trusted banner.

We unite the field. We don't replace it.

The Association is not a competitor to the organizations, coalitions, and experts already doing vital heat work. Those efforts are essential, and they remain so.

Our role is to be the connective tissue between them — convening the existing field into a single, coordinated movement, so the whole becomes greater than the sum of its parts and the nation confronts extreme heat with one united voice.
